It consists in the section of the Balance Of Payments that registers the transactions regarding the transport services supplied by courriers that are residents in a certain Country to other people that are residents in another Country (credit), and viceversa (debits).
It corresponds the item “Transportation” of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), that in turn corresponds to the item “International transportation” of the Italian Balance Of Payments. This item consists of goods’ transportation, people’s transportation and other services of auxiliar transportation.
The transportation of not resident people that is carried out in the Country by courriers that are resident in that Country is not added up, as these services are already included in the “Journies abroad” item.
