Station at which the single railway wagons are sorted following the decomposition of a convoy into “cuts”, consisting of one, two or three wagons; after having released the brakes, the individual cuts are thrown or left for gravity from the top to the saddle, having a vertical drop of a few meters, towards the tracks in order to compose new trains according to their destination.
