I met Dario Favaretto when I was at my very first job experiences in firm (Gugel srl), while he was in his early thirties had just got involved with his logistics and supply chain consultancy activity. We met in a small/medium family-run transport and logistics company (like many in Italy), where being a consultant needs huge empathetic as well as professional abilities. Dario proved himself immediately worthy supporting the company during an historic moment of big expansion, by bringing his know-how to all departments up to the corporate ownership. Warehouse management optimization and the development of the ERP software are two of the results obtained that I witnessed, being me directly involved like company contact person. In reaching these goals, far from obvious when a company is exponentially growing in very short time, he has played a key role bringing his experience of multinational companies, correctly adapted to our reality.
His precision, his frankness and the tangible effects of his job, brought the ownership, used to “control” and coordinate every decision, to understand the value of a team and of a specialized manager.
5 years after we met again and collaborate in a new company (Marchi Autotrasporti srl), once again a logistics and transport company and in a big growth moment. As employee and Dario’s internal referent, I witnessed that the growth of Dario and of the whole Multi Level Consulting was not for chance, but thanks to his ability to listen and perfectly identify himself in any business scenario, by proposing new ideas or adapting the existing ones to optimize the internal processes and the supply chain management.
Today I have been a young entrepreneur for 3 years in the FMCG export sector, where the logistics plays a more crucial role than in other sectors and I often realize that I use concepts, arguments and approach I learned with Dario, both from operational and human point of view.
